As the previous person says, holding the crown of the watch down for a couple of seconds will take you into the continuous heart rate monitor. This is typically used for workouts, as it will run down the battery faster than normal operation, but can be used whenever you want a continuous heart rate readout . Under normal operation, the watch seems to check my heart rate every 5 minutes or less.answered on 2018-01-02 00:00:00
